It’s Nice That
Content Strategy Development
It’s Nice That, one of the world’s leading independent creative publishers, chose to use my Content Strategy Development service to help future-proof their business.
As the company approached its 15th anniversary, I came on board as a consultant to review its editorial strategy, brand mission and operational structure, as well as to share trends and identify new publishing frameworks.
Client Objectives
– Gain an objective view of It’s Nice That’s current editorial offering and an outside perspective of the wider media landscape

This involved sections on the following:
-
Identification of the macro forces changing the publishing industry
-
Market analysis
Reader survey
Internal survey
Leadership interviews
SWOT analysis
-
Short term content solutions to help deepen audience engagement

Longform report
In addition, I created a 6000 word deep dive report that expanded on all my analysis, featuring insights from the staff surveys, leadership SWOT sessions, readership trends and future product recommendations.
This was delivered as a Google Doc so that the internal team could share and annotate with their thoughts and ideas.
"We were extremely impressed by the quality of Tim's Editorial Positioning analysis, presentation and reports, both in terms of the clarity of understanding about It's Nice That and the astuteness of his future recommendations for the brand."
